The Final Days Of EMI - Q&A Eamonn Forde - Thurs 9th May

MOVI are very proud to announce that on Thursday May 9th author Eamonn Forde will be coming to MOVI Towers to talk about his latest book 'The Final Days Of EMI'. Drawing together the key figures involved and a huge cast of insiders from across all levels of the business Eamonn pieces together the definitive account of how a £4.2 billion deal could so shockingly and so publicly explode.

The book reveals how everything spectacularly unspooled in just over three years, and forensically combs through the ashes in exhaustive and often humorous detail, offering insight and anecdotes from the heart of the organisation.

Written by Eamonn Forde , The story of the death of EMI is also the story of the end of the old record business, one built on plastic discs and market share, as it looked to find a profitable future in an age of streaming. Within it all is a morality tale for how not to do business in the digital age. EMI won’t be the last music company to go under, but it’s doubtful one will collapse so dramatically and so publicly ever again.

Beer and wine will be avalible and ticket price includes the forst drink!
